It has not been an easy journey, but through perseverance and hard work, I have come a long way. My determination has helped me promote 13 Managers and 3 Distributors. My responsibilities include recruiting as well as creating new and innovative management strategies that encourage growth within my field of work. My success has enabled me to pay my children’s university tuition fees without taking out a loan. I own 2 cars which I also purchased using my own hard-earned money. I am proud to be able to say that I have made a difference in my community by creating jobs for individuals who come from disadvantaged families. This has made a positive impact in their lives. One Saturday, I was invited to one of BBB’s demonstrations. Little did I know, when I opened that door, I was opening the door to success. When I started selling, I used to walk approximately 40 km every day to sell, deliver and recruit. My feet were my vehicle. But I knew that nothing that is worthwhile comes easily. Colours have played an important role in defining purpose for me. Looking back at the colour grey, it symbolised and predicted that I would gain wisdom throughout the years and help BBB grow. BBB then changed from grey to burgundy. Burgundy symbolises ambition, power and wealth. I have since been able to use this vision to empower others. Growing up, I knew that education is important. Therefore, it is important to me to assist those in my community who cannot afford to further their studies. With the financial stability BBB has given me, I have been able to assist several learners with their school fees and have made donations to those schools. Furthermore, I am a woman of God and it is through my faith that I have persevered as a business woman. I therefore prioritise donating to my community church to enable them to provide for those in need.

I first started as a Consultant, and then became a Manager with 38 Consultants of my own from different areas including Vuwani, Thohoyandou, Elim, Giyani, Malamulele and Sinthumule. I later became I & J Distributors and promoted 5 Managers. I had only one truck to deliver the stock to my Managers. It was not an easy thing to do by myself. But our Distribution worked hard, and we managed to buy three other trucks, which made my job a lot easier. Later we changed our name to Vhalau Distributors. Now we have 28 Managers, about 600 Consultants and 6 drivers. I have also opened 5 offices, each with their own branch manager. As a Distribution, we are helping many people put bread on their tables. We helped 14 churches by building the steel structure and roofing. I am presently helping learners pay for their tuition fees and to buy school uniforms. Some of them are already in university and others are graduates. I have built 24 houses for families in need in different areas. I managed to build 2 warehouses to store stock. I own 11 bakkies to make stock deliveries. I built a conference hall and boardroom to hold meetings. I have also built 2 luxurious houses for my family, and we own 5 family cars.

Khensani Sibongile Shiluvane, a 48-year-old mother of three girls, has been a successful Botle Buhle Brands manager since 2017. She says, “I joined Botle Buhle Brands at a bad time: I was in debt, poverty and a whole lot of suffering. Things were so bad for me and my family. I remember my 12-year-old daughter once suggested she goes and looks for a part-time job…at the age of 12. That really broke my heart because it showed that the suffering was getting to my kids. I was tired of suffering, poverty and hardship and I decided to do something to better my life, that is when I joined Botle Buhle Brands. Today, through Botle Buhle Brands and my hard work as a manager, I own a brand-new Ford Ranger that I bought for myself. My children’s school fees are always up to date at all times. I bought church instruments cash, “zwa-quality.” I have created a job opportunity by hiring my own P.A and most importantly, I’m in the process of building for a less fortunate family. Lomile Mpapa, from Botshabelo in Free State, was an unemployed and dependant woman before she joined Botle Buhle Brands in 2012. After seeing how the business changed her life, she decided to work especially hard on recruiting other people to also better their own lives. She says every person who wants to start living a better life must, “arise and change your life for good”. She also says that “there is no company like Botle Buhle Brands for me. They are genuine about empowering people and you will see that by them giving you stock in advance to start your business. They are not out to make money off people’s sweat and hard work.” Together with her husband, Ntate Mpapa, and her children Malichaba and Tholang, they worked with even more determination. Margareth Malapane lives in Runnymede village in Limpopo Province and has been part of the Botle Buhle Brands family since 2013. After Grade 12 she became the provider for her family when her brother lost his job. She worked at many places in order to provide but it was very hard. “You know in life when you have nothing, people tend to undermine you, not just your neighbours but your own family too,” she reflects, “but today, because Botle Buhle changed my life, I have value in my family and in my community. I’m also able to have a say in things like everyone else.” “I remember when I left my job to focus on the Botle Buhle Brands business my family did not understand at all. They were not convinced that selling bowls was going to enable me to provide for them. But here I am today; I’m making a success of my business. I’m in the process of building my family a home, all thanks to BBB and my supportive mother distributor,” Margareth adds. Innocent is a mother of four, living in Phalaborwa, Limpopo Province. She joined Botle Buhle Brands in 2005 looking to earn an income. She was unemployed at the time. Within a month of joining as a Sales Consultant her husband was retrenched and their only income was from her BBB sales. “When my husband lost his job, life became extra hard. I had to start pushing my BBB business because I had to pay my child’s school fees,” she recalls. Today life is very different for Innocent. “Life is so much better now because we are able to afford the things we want and need. I was able to buy a bakkie to help me deliver stock to my consultants. Seeing success in your business gives you energy to work even harder because you see your hard work paying off.” She says that now they’re able to make their house a home for their children, and all it took was to push and grow her BBB business.

Annah Minyuku is from Motla village in Hammanskraal. Before joining Botle Buhle Brands she was employed as a merchandiser and says, “life was stable but there was no moving forward.” After three years of working she was retrenched and her husband was left as the sole provider, making life very hard for her family. “Life was so bad for us we had to go out every morning and borrow money for my husband to go to work. Our neighbours lost all respect for us,” Annah says. She was introduced to the BBB business opportunity in 2011. When she thinks back to the early days she still values the trust the company had in her: “they gave me stock even though I was staying in a 4 room shack (mukhukhu) and it motivated me to do more, so I could better my life and grow my business.” Annah says that one must have a vision of seeing themselves succeed in this business. “Running a business is not easy, but if you put effort and dedication in making it work, it will work,” she encourages.

Betty Moloto was born in 1960 in Tembisa, Gauteng, then relocated to Limpopo with her parents. Betty says, “Life was very hard before I joined Botle Buhle Brands. I could not afford to buy my kids food and that hurt us as parents. I used to sell for another direct selling company, but it was not working for me. I then learnt about Botle Buhle Brands and just decided to try it out. I didn’t really expect much from it but after attending my first meeting I was determined to work hard and make it a success, I was motivated. Today my family and I are living a good life, we can afford things and we are very happy. My kids finished varsity because of BBB.”
